这个项目从外观上看,是只有两层的低矮建筑,遵循江浙水乡典型的建筑风格。外部大手笔运用整面玻璃墙壁装饰,看上去就像一个透明的玻璃盒子。建筑被庭院水景围绕,面积相对广阔。如此别致的院落如果只单纯作为日后会拆除的销售中心使用,不免有些可惜。所以在这个前提下,设计本身对“销售中心”功能进行了重新定义,从长期发展的角度将其规划成一个美术馆,成为将来住宅的配套设施,但是在前期,这个结合东方传统文化的美术馆,可兼具销售功能,一举两得。
在平面布局上除了销售中心必备的洽谈、办公功能外,还特别划分了博文讲堂、茶艺、阅读等区域作为补充,输入更多文化生活体验,让游园、欣赏艺术的过程变成精神层面的享受,从而弱化场所本来的功能用途,而这个原本是销售中心的场所,也因为空间的不同转换,层层叠进,变得与众不同。它不单单是一个庭院设施,还是一个名副其实的美术馆。
From the outside, the sales center is a two-story building of typical Jiangsu and Zhejiang style. Full height glass walls make the whole building looks like a transparent glass box. Covering a relatively large area, it is surrounded by a courtyard with waterscape. The designers thought it was a kind of waste if such a unique courtyard were simply used as a short term sales center which will be demolished in the future. Thus the design redefined the functions of” the sales center”; while serving the purpose of sales in the early stage, the sales center was planned into a future art gallery which will serve as part of the supporting facilities for the residence.
For the layout, besides negotiation and office areas which are necessary for a sales center, extra areas for blog lecture, tea, and reading were specifically designed to enrich cultural experience of the space. This turns the process of visiting the sales center and enjoying the art into spiritual enjoyment, thus weaken the original function of the space. Such shift of functions makes the building which was originally a sales center becomes different; in addition to being a courtyard, it is a veritable art gallery.
